INJURED MAN NOW IN HOSPITAL

WEATHER OBSERVER FROM CAMPBELL ISLAND (New Zealand Press Association) INVERCARGILL, July 12. Mr B. Perkinson, the injured weather observer from Campbell Island, was admitted to Kew Hospital, Invercargill, early this morning, shortly after the coaster Karamu arrived at Bluff. His condition is satisfactory. The patient had been treated aboard the Karamu by means of radioed instructions from Group Captain A. H. Marsh, of Wellington. Aboard the Karamu this morning, a house surgeon from the Southland Hospital examined the injured man before his admission to Kew Hospital. Mr Perkins will probably be transferred to a hospital in Auckland, his home town.
