INTER SCHOOL RUGBY AND BASKETBALL
DARFIELD AND LINCOLN PUPILS Pupils of the Darfield and Lincoln District High Schools played their annual Rugby football and basketball rriatches at Darfield recently. The weather was showery. The Darfield first fifteen beat Lincoln, 6-3, in a very even match. The game was played in a fine spirit, and play ranged up and down the field. D. Mitchell scored a try and kicked a penalty goal for Darfield, and J. Birdling scored a try for Lincoln. Lincoln B beat Darfield B, 18-0. For Lincoln B tries were scored by J. Stark, J. Meyer (2), and B. Boyce. G. Law kicked a penalty goal. The Lincoln A basketball team beat Darfield A. 12-2. A match between the B teams was won by Lincoln, 14-0.
