Farmers’ Co-op. Rights Active Yesterday

N.Z. Farmers’ Co-operative Association rights were active on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Eight parcels, totalling 1817 rights, changed hands, all at steacly prices. The B preference sold for 2s 9d and the ordinaries for 3s.

Electrolytic Zinc, in first local business this week, made a good gain in business at 38s 6d. Mt. Lyell also reflected the improvement in Australian markets, selling for 21s IJd. Whitcombe and Tombs, in first local business for many weeks, were firmer in sales at 365.

N.Z. Insurance dropped 6d to sell at 88s 6d. Woolworths rights sold at the steady price of 9s and at 8s lid. Dalgety A sold fractionally lower at 9s 7d.
