TRAINING AS ARMY OFFICERS

CADETSHIPS OFFERED AT DUNTROON Applications are now being accepted by the Army from youths to be selected to attend an officer training course at the Australian Royal Military College, Duntroon, beginning with the class of 1957. A number of New Zealanders are already studying at the college. The course, which is paid for by the New Zealand Government, lasts four years. Trainees are permitted to pursue either arts or science courses in addition to their military studies When they have completed the course, they are commissioned as officers in the New Zealand Regular Force. Candidates will be required to attend a selection camp at Linton soon after August 31 when applications close. One application has already been made in Christchurch.
