KAIKOURA DRAMA CLUB

THREE ONE-ACT PLAYS PRESENTED The first presentations of one-act plays during the 1956 season were staged by the Kaikoura Drama Club in the War Memorial Community Centre. Three plays were produced by Mesdames N. A. Squire, A. A. Vaughan and H. F. Crow and those taking part were Mesdames E. J. Taylor, senr., F. Parker, T. R. Anderson, W. K. Hayward, W. V. Eaton. H. F. Crow, D. M. Haldane, A. A. Vaughan and A. B. Stove, and Misses Aimee Bridge, Alison Bansgrove. Shirley Wells and Mary Ingram. The stage manager was Mr H. F. Crow and assistants were Mesdames A. L. Johnston and J. Williamson. During the evening, songs were sung by Mr Godfrey Hislop (Kaikoura) and Mrs L. Jowers (Blenheim): and pianoforte solos given by Mrs W. L. Glennie (Blenheim). The accompanists were Mesdames Godfrey, Hislop and Glennie. The Kaikoura Orchestral Society, under the baton of Mr T. Davie, presented a short programme and played incidental music.
