General Sandy, the best pacer produced in Southland in recent years has rejoined C. G. Kirby's team at Wyndham. If he ma es satisfactory progress m the next few weeks he may resume racing at the New Zealand Metropolitan Trotting Club’s Grand National meeting at Addington next month. Now rising six years of age. General Sandy has not raced since the Auckland Cup carnival in December. He tnnved during his spell and came back into work in splendid order to begin another preparation General Sandy is now on a 4min Msec mark tor two miles, and if the conditions for the New Zealand Cup are the same as they were last November. he will be eligible for the race.

The Louisson and National Handicaps will probably be General Sandy’s main missions at Addington next month. Both will be run over one mi!e and five furlongs, with a limit of 3mm 34sec.
