FULL ALLOCATION NOT USED LAST WEEK The Municipal Electricity Department last week used 81.1 per cent of its allocation of 7,887.000 units, and on Thursday reached a peak of 93 per cent, of allocation, said the engineermanager (Mr G. H. Battersby), yesterday. The consumption for the week was 6,959,000 units. The week-end’s rain increased storage in the South Island power lakes, and at 9 a.m. yesterday 95,070,000 units were in reserve, compared with 93,730,000 units the day before. The weather in the back country is now clear again.
