STOCK SALES PLEASANT POINT "The Press’ Special Service TIMARU, July 9. Twenty-five head of fat cattle met a steady inquiry with values holding firm at the Pleasant Point stock sale today. More than two races of fat sheep opened on a quiet note, but as the sale progressed values improved. However, over aU it was not as buoyant as the Temuka sale a week ago. The sale of store sheep was an extra good one. Values were:— Fat Cattle—Steers: prime, £29 7s 6d to £33 7s 6d; medium. £2l 2s 6d to £26 17s 6d; light, £l6 2s 6d to £l9 7s 6d. Heifers: Prime, £2l 2s 6d to £26 12s 6d; light to medium, £l2 2s 6d to £lB 7s 6d. Fat Sheep—Wethers: Prime, 80s Id to 88s lOd; medium, 76s Id to 79s Id; light, 6«s lOd to 72s 4d.
