WEATHER AFFECTS OPERATIONS "The Press" Special Service AUCKLAND, July 8. Poor weather and uncertain migratory habits of whales for this time of the year have resulted in the Hauraki Whaling Company making fewer catchesthan it expected. Mr W. W. Gunson, a company director, said that the situation was disappointing, but there was no concern over the fact that only five whales had been caught. Men on the station at Whangaparapara were settling down nicely, and since the first catch on June 15 had been fully employed.
