Wellington, for the 27 hours after the time of issue, is:— Situation A deep depression centred Just east of the Chatham Islands is movin’ slowly eastwards and a cold front moving northwards over New Zealand is expected to reach Hawke's Bay this afternoon. Forecast:— Canterbury and Coastal Marlborough: south-west winds, fresh in exposed areas; variable skies inland but mainly cloudy about the coasts, with wintry showers more frequent in the coastal areas; temperatures cold. Outook: becoming fair, but cold. Inland Marlborough and Nelson.— south-west winds, fresh at times; rain or showers at first, but becoming mainly fair but cold. Outlook: fair. Buller and Westland.—Moderate to fresh south-west winds predominating: some showers at first in the Buller district, otherwise mainly fair, but cool. Outlook: fair to cloudy. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER
