dation that the certificate CRTpetency of the driver of a Wellington Citv Corporation tram be cancelled is contained in the report of the commission of inquiry into an accident on September 22 last year, when a passenger was killed, others injured, and damage caused to a car and private propertv after a tram travelled out of control from the Aro street terminus The commission found that the motorman. Roman Pietrzkiewicz, was negligent when he failed to apply the brakes properly. There was no deficiency in the training of the motorman said the report, but there was deficient training of the conductor. Frederick William Cashmore.— <P.A.)
