Probation for a Gypsy.— A Cornish gypsy. Harriet Richards, aged 72, who sold “magic carpets” and promised a farmer she would “put on the planets” to remove evil spells from his family, was put on probation for three years and ordered to pay £lOO within 28 days by a London Court. Richards admitted that she obtained more than £6OO from the farmer over , three years.
