TAKANINI TEAM FOR TRENTHAM

(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. July 1. Peter Willonyx and Bunyarra are due to leave Takanini on Tuesday for Trentham where they will contest sprints at the Wellington Racing Club’s winter meeting. Peter Willonyx and Bunyarra are being prepared by P. E. Pope. They will be joined on the trip at Hawera by their stalemate. Peterford. which is also engaged at Trentham. Peterford stayed on at Hawera alter racing successfully at the Egmont winter meeing on June 23. It is more than likely that J. W. Harris will ride Peter Willonyx and Bunyarra. and he may also be on Peterford. Peter Willonyx picked up quickly after the racing at Ellerslie near the start of the month, and he is in very solid condition. so is Bunyarra. which won himself the trip with an impressive victory over seven furlongs at Avondale yesterday. Peterford has only lately reached open company, but being a free galloper in bad ground he is likely to perform prominently at Trentham. All going well, Peter Willonyx, Bunyarra, and Peterford will stay at Trentham after the racing to prepare for the Canterbury Jockey Club's Grand National meeting at Riccarton in August. Their nominations include the Winter Cup.
