GUN DOG TRIALS
SUCCESS OF COCKER SPANIELS
The Canterbury Gun Dog Club's monthly trials were held at Chamberlain's Ford yesterday under ideal conditions. The outstanding dog was Messrs J. Stanton and O. Hartley-Smith’s puppy. Dalkey Sharon, which won the O’Hara Cup and both the puppy land and water.
The success of cocker spaniels was a pleasing feature of the trials.
Results were:— Limit Land.—Miss J. C. Wiffen’s Ch. Gunwa Crusader (cocker spaniel). 73 points, 1; M. Hosking’s Dalkey Suprema (English springer spaniel). 68, 2. Limit Water.—E. Beden’s San Pedro Boy (cocker spaniel). 87. 1; M. Hosking’s Dalkey Suprema (English springer spaniel), 85. 2; M. Hoxman's Linwood Nell (Labrador retriever), 81, 3.
