Singapore Millionaire Kidnapped
(Rec. 8 p.m.) SINGAPORE. June 30. Police announced today that gangsters had kidnapped a Singapore multimillionaire. Ng Quee Gam, and were now holding him on a ransom of 150.000 Straits dollars. A police spokesman said Mr Ng, a rubber magnate, was kidnapped last Thursday night near his palatial seaside bungalow in the suburbs of Singapore. About four men dressed in black laid in wait behind coconut trees and bushes for Mr Ng to return home from a club. They pounced on Mr Ng when his car halted outside the iron gate of his house. A Eurasian, who saw the abduction, called the police and members of Mr Ng's family, but the gang got away.
