NOVEL RUGBY MATCH
If satisfactory arrangements can be completed, the Centurions Rugby Club will select a team which will comprise many of New Zealand’s most notable Rugby personalities to play in a match on the Sunday after the second test in Wellington. The present proposal is that the members of the team should be only those who have played in at least 100 first-class matches.
An approach has already been made to 26 eligible players, among them being R. W. H. Scott, K. C. Stuart, R. A. Jarden. J. M. Tanner, P. B. Vincent. A. Anderson, A. Blake. W. H. Clark, I. J. Clarke. R. H. Duff, W. Mumm, K. L. Skinner, H. L. White, and R. A. White. Other potential participants are M. P. Goddard, N. P. Cherrington, J. B. Smith, F. R. Allen, V. D. Bevan. E. H. Catley. J. G. Bond, W. F. Crist, L. A. Grant, D. H. Herman. K. Matthews, and R. C. Stuart. If the fixture is played, the club proposes to hand over the proceeds to the Wellington Homes of Compassion
