THE LUFTWAFFE MAY GET A NEW MESSERSCHMITT.—At Wahn airport, near Bonn, members of the German Defence Ministry were shown the M.E.200 which has been developed by Professor Messerschmitt in Spain. This jet, which has a top speed of 560 miles an hour and a low landing speed of 73 miles an hour, is likely to be used by the new German air force as a training machine. Standing on the wing is Mr Eberhard Kohlmayer, son-in-law of the designer, who has played a considerable part m the development of the aircraft.
