DOMINION R.S.A. OFFICERS
MR K. W. FRASER, NEW PRESIDENT (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. June 21. Mr K. W. Fraser was elected unopposed as Dominion president of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association at the Dominion Council today. Mr K. W. R. Glasgow was re-elected Dominion vice-president, and Mr C. J. Tustin as honorary Dominion treasurer- (both unopposed). The following additional officers were elected:— District vice-presidents: Messrs D. Morrison (Northland), D. W. Prime (Auckland). G. Gower (Waikato-King Country-Bay of Plenty). G. H. Denbow (Wellington-Taranaki-West Coast), T O. S. Raleigh (Wellington-East Coast). L. Waters (Nelson-Marlbor-ough-Westland). J. W. McLeod (Canterbury). W. H. Reid (Otago-South-land). District representatives: Messrs G. E. J. Adams (Northland), C. G. Peterwood (Auckland). J. C. White (Wai-kato-King Country-Bay of Plenty). H. Mitchell (Wellington-Taranaki-West Coast). A. R. Robbins (WellingtonEast Coast), R. Hardie Boys (Np’«nn-Marlborouch-Westland), E. F. Willcox (Canterbury), T. A. Turner (UiagoSouthland). E. M. Basil-Jones and F O. Burtt (“floor” members). Tributes were paid by Mr Fraser *o the retiring representative for Auckland (Mr S. J. Harrison), who was secretary of the New Zealand Returned Services’ Association from 1919-1953, and to the representative of Maori returned servicemen (Mr Rangi Royal). He also referred with regret io the retirement of several secretaries and Returned Services’ Association stalwarts. notably Messrs W. E. Leadley, who recently retired as general secretary of the Disabled Servicemen’s Reestablishment League, O. L. Ferens (Dunedin R.S.A.), L. A. McKenzip (Christchurch R.S.A.), and A. Naylor (Taumarunui R.S.A.).
