THE LEAGUE MOTHERS
MRS D. G. MCFADDEN NEW PRESIDENT
Mrs D. G. McFadden was elected president of the Canterbury Provincial Committee of the League of Mothers at the annual meeting yesterday.
Other officers are as follows: immediate past-president, Mrs W. Grant; vice-president, Mrs N. C. Clapp; secretary, Mrs H. C. L. Pruden; treasurer, Mrs G. Martin: assistant-treasurer. Mrs O. Mitchell; supplies secretary, Mrs P. C. Cornish; organising secretary. Mrs J. Davidson; creche adviser. Mrs C. A. Noble; magazine correspondent, Mrs L. G. Ireland; delegate to National Council of Women, Mrs McFadden. Mrs Grant and Mrs Pruden were appointed delegates to the Dominion conference of the league in Auckland in September. It was agreed to hold a branch officers’ conference on July 10. A buffet luncheon was held after the meeting.
