PIRIE CLAIMS NEW RECORD
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) OSLO. June 19. Gordon Pirie. of Britain, today claimed a new world record for SJOO metres, with a time of 13min 36.8 sec. The official world record is 13min 40.6 sec. set by Sandor Iharos. of Hungary, at Budapest last October. In today’s race in Oslo V'adimir Kuc. of Russia, finished second to Pirie in 13min 39.65ec.
