“KEEPING MUM” ON SECOND TERM

(Rec. 10 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June 20 Mr James Hagerty, President Eisenhower’s press secretary, said today that the President, in talks with key White House assistants, still was keeping

‘absolutely mum” about whether he still intended to seek a second term.

Mr Hagerty told reporters- “Nobody has talked politics with the President <ince he underwent major abdominal ■surgery at the Walter Reed Hospita’ •Tn June 9.”

Medical bulletins continued to report that Mr Eisenhower was making “very satisfactory” progress.
