West Coast.—Light to moderate east to north-east winds; weather cloudy, with periods of rain, mainly light; moderate temperatures. Nelson.—Moderate to fresh winds from a northerly quarter; weather cloudy, with long periods of rain; some moderate to heavy falls likely; moderate temperatures. Marlborough.—Moderate winds from a northerly quarter; cloudy weather with steady rain in the morning and occasional light rain during the rest of the day; moderate temperatures. Outlook for all districts: unsettled weather. CHRISTCHURCH WEATHER The weather in Christchurch yesterday Was cloudy, with occasional drizzle and a light north-east wind. At midnight, the sky was almost overcast, and a three-knot south-west wind was blowing. The temperature was 42.1 degrees. The barometer, at 30.01 inches (10163 millibars), was failing.
