On the first page was a diagram of “the key to the hut” signed by one of the members. One name given in the book was that of a 14-year-old boy who described himself as captain and doorkeeper. Another, 13 years old. was “second in command (sergeant),” and two others, aged 10 and 13 years, described themselves as “spies.” Among the goods recovered are two diamond rings valued at more than £5O each. Entry to the confined space where the stolen goods were hidden was obtained through a small trapdoor set in the side of the building.
