Trams As Piggeries
Three old, trams once used in Dunedin have found resting places as pigggries for a Waitaki farmer, Mr R. Booth. “They are ideal for use as sleeping sheds for the pigs,” said Mr Booth. When he bought the trams at auction the undercarriage had been removed and all electrical apparatus had been taken out. The only additional change to be made before the animals are turned in is the removal of seats. The doors and windows will be left intact. Mr Booth believes the trams will each accommodate 100 pigs.
