Tubular Steel Woolshed
A new wool store, for which the contract has been let by the Wellington Harbour Board, will be one of the first buildings in New Zealand to be constructed of tubular steel. The wool store will replace that destroyed by fire last year. The Harbour Board’s wool store will be 240 feet long by 100 feet wide, and will be built in two bays, with a single line of supporting columns down the middle.
