Other Dairy Products For the eight months to the end of February production of condensed and powdered products was as follows (last year’s figures in parenthesis):— Condensed and powdered whole milk 11 853 tons (13,364): buttermilk powder. 10,119 tons (8197); casein, 19.896 tons (8956). . For the nine-month period production was at record levels in North; land, Bay of Plenty, Taranaki ano Nelson, Marlborough and Westland. The level of production in these areas and in South Auckland more than offset the drops which occurred m Hawk’s Bay-Gisborne, Canterbury, Otago and Southland, and, to a lessei extent, in Wellington. Production conditions continue to be very good in Northland, Bay of Plenty and Taranaki. Pasture growth is generally good and the outlook for winter feed supplies bright.
