Mr D. McFarlane has sold Le Roi to C. C. McCarthy, of Riccarton. Le Roi had his fifth start for the season and his first after a spell, in the Novice Stakes at Amberley on Saturday. He finished fourth. He is a three-year-old brother to Royal Mail. He was bred at Five Rivers, Southland, by Mr R. B. Selbie.
