NEW W.E.A. CLASSES AT KAIAPOI

Classes will be conducted in painting, recorder playing, and public speaking by the Workers’ Educational Association in Kaiapoi this year. The painting class, begining on April 16, will be taken by Mr P. L. Weenink; the recorder playing class (April 18) by Mr L. J. S. Brown; and the public speaking class (April 19) by Mr B. J. Dunne.

W.E.A. classes have been exceptionally successful in Kaiapoi in recent years and have attracted a membership of men and women of all ages and every walk of life. The classes are partly a municipal venture and are organised under the auspices of the library and adult, education committee of the Kaiapoi Borough Council. The public speaking class is held in the council chamber.
