COMPANION SAILS INDIAN OCEAN ALONE (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) LONDON. March 20. A 34-year-old Englishman. Lewis King, is sailing his 40ft ketch. Jeanne Mathilde, alone through the Indian Ocean. His companion, a New Zealander, has been taken off for an urgent operation. A message received in London today said the ketch was bound for Rodriquez Island, north-east of Mauritius Mr King, a civil engineer, set out from Penang. Malaya, on a voyage home to Britain several weeks ago with a New Zealand journalist. Mr Hugh Mabbett. as companion.
