HORNBY CLUB The barest of margins separated the first three to finish in the Hornby Cash Cycling Club’s 10 miles out and home race on Monday evening. Starting in bunches a few seconds apart, the riders increased the pace ouickly when the bunches teamed up early in the race In a very fast finish E. Woodgate won the A grade race in 22min 12sec. R. Lucas was second, a fifth of a second behind and K. Sutherland was another. threefifths of a second away in third place. The B grade race was won by R Woodgate in 22min 12.4 sec. D. Hanson was second in 22min 12.6 sec. and K. Kerr third in 22min 13.4 sec. A five miles’ boys' race was won bv . R. Carmichael (3Jmin) in 14min 30sec. T. Bloomfield off the same mark was second , ; in 14min 31sec. and I. Bartlett (4min) i third in 15min 15sec. G. Le Breton (15secj gained fastest time with 12min i ’ 45sec.
