Earth Tremors in Auckland
Light earthquakes continued to jolt Great Barrier Island and parts of the mainland of Auckland during the week-end. Houses vibrated and crockery rattled, but no damage was reported. There were “quite a lot” of trembles last night, according to a resident of Tryphena, but none was so severe as the jolting on Thursday. The earthquakes continued, but were lighter.— (P.A.)
