Protest Strike In Greece

(Rec. 11 p.m.) ATHENS, March 16. A nation-wide four-hour strike in protest at the deportation from Cyprus of Archbishop Makarios began at dawn today. The strike, called by the General Confederation of Labour, was strictly obeyed by all workers throughout the country. Factories and shops remained closed, and bus and rail traffic was suspended. The departure of Greek civil planes and ships due during the strike was also postponed.
