Prices Variable, Small Turnover

Price movements on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday were variable. Ballins Breweries confirmed recent higher quotations in a reported sale at 28s, Wright Stephensons gained to sell at 43s 9d and 445. and Whitcombe and Tombs sold at the higher price of 335. 8.H.P., W oolworths and Gadsdens preference were traded at lower prices. Turnover was confined to two local body debenture issues and eight share issues.
