MERCHANT NAVY ROLL OF HONOUR
NAMES OF AUCKLAND MEN SOUGHT
The names of officers and men of the Merchant Navy who loft their lives in World War 11, and whose homes were in the Auckland province, or whose next of kin resided or still reside in the area, are being sought by the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Company of Master Mariners. The names are wanted so that a roll of honour can be compiled and included in the Hall of Memories which is to be built as part of the additions to the Auckland War Memorial Museum.
The details required are: surname, Christian names, rank, decorations, name of ship, date reported missing or dead, name and address of next of kin. These particulars should be forwarded to the secretary. Merchant Navy Roll of Honour Committee, P.O. Box 2137. Auckland.
