Odlin rights were quoted for the first time yesterday, when a wide margin between buyers’ and sellers’ ideas of their value were apparent. Buyers offered 9s, but sellers asked 15s.

SMITHFIELD MEAT MARKET CHILLED BEEF WEAK, LAMB IMPROVING Supplies of chilled beef exceeded requirements on a falling market at Smithfield last week, according to cabled advice received from the London office of the New Zealand Meat • Producers’ Board. Forequarters were i weak. In spite of further price reductions, sales of frozen beef showed little improvement. Demand for frozen lamb was slowly improving, with values barely steady.
