RANGIORA COUNTY COUNCIL
The suggestion of the Kaiapoi Borough Council that a conference of local bodies should be held at an early date to discuss making an approach to the Government for an undertaking that sufficient moneys should be made available to ensure that essential works in Canterbury were kept going, was supported by the Rangiora County Council at its monthly meeting yesterday. A letter was received from the Antarctic Appeal Committee asking for a contribution, but no action was taken. A sub-committee was set up to make suggestions on the Rangiora boroughdistrict town planning scheme.
Diamonds, the King of Precious stones “and forever after.” The days will multiply into weeks, into years, and as the years pass, through every minute of them you will be together. There will be thrilling days of activity, and others that pass gently and quietly. There will be days of laughter and joy, others of unavoidable sorrow, but always it will be together—“A diamond is forever.” A Diamond Ring bought at "Stevens Diamond Mine” is good value because of their low profit policy, it is better because of the modern designs, and select, because the diamonds are new and of the latest multiple cut. See for yourself at Stevens Diamond Mine. 11l and 115 Gloucester st., 2 doors from Hay’s. —Advt.
