Mt. Lyell Gain Is To Sell At 26s 6d

In a sale reported yesterday to the Christchurch Stock Exchange Mount Lvell changed hands at 26s 6d, Is more than the price paid locally last week. The sharp rise in copper prices on world markets early this week is expected to increase this company’s current earnings. McKenzies, Tekau and Aulsebrooks preference made smaller gains in yesterday’s trading. C.8.A., South British Insurance and Woolworths N.Z. Properties preference were easier. Turnover was below average for a Friday and was confined to comparatively few stocks.
