NEW MINISTERIAL CARS

FIRST TEN ARRIVE FROM BRITAIN (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 8. Ten new Mark VII Jaguar cars, for Ministerial use,, have arrived in the freighter Trelawny, at present at Queen’s wharf. Four of the cars will be unloaded at Auckland, four at Wellington, and one each at Lyttelton and Dunedin. After the customary delivery check, the cars will be handed over to the Public Service Garage. The normal New Zealand retail price for each of the cars, with automatic transmission, is a little less than £l9OO. The Jaguars will form the nucleus of a new Ministerial fleet. Two Austins, to be used mainly for State occasions, are also to be supplied.
