FOREST PRODUCTS APPOINTMENTS

MR M. R. BUCXETT TO BE GENERAL MANAGER (New Zealana Press Association) AUCKLAND, March 7. The appointment of Mr M. R. Buckett as general manager of New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd., was announced today by the chairman and managing director of the company, Sir David Henry. 1 Mr J. T. Christiansen has been appointed general suoerintendent, and Mr J. T. Cjarrie assistant general superintendent of the firm’s Kinleith industries. Mr A. W. Mackney becomes general superintendent of the Penrose industries, with Mr W. Nelson as his assistant. Mr Buckett, originally from MidCanterbury. began his career with the New Zealand Forest Service in Canterbury in 1928. He attended the School of Forestry at Canterbury University College in 1931 and 1932, worked in the timber industry in Southland and later joined the utilisation division of the Wood and Forests Department, South Australia He was appointed utilisation officer to New Zealand Forest Products, Ltd 17 years ago and for the last eight years has been assistant general manager. Some six years ago he was appointed to the board of directors.
