Geldings Eligible For Classics
The Australian Jockey Club and the Victoria Racing Club have agreed to lift their ban against geldings racing in classic events. Both clubs will amend the conditions of their classic races to enable geldings to compete'from next year. The ban on geldings came into force after a New Zealand horse. Ammon Ra, won the A.J.C. Derby in 1931.
