CABINET MEETING AT INVERCARGILL

SOUTHLAND CENTENARY CELEBRATIONS (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. March 6. Meetings of the Cabinet and of the Executive Council will be held In Invercargill on March 14, to mark the Southland centennial. The Acting-Prime Minister (Mr K. J. Holyoake) said in Wellington last night that the Governor-General (Sir Willoughby Norrie) would preside at the meeting of the Executive Council, which would l>e held in the morning at the offices of the Southland Cou nty Council. The Cabinet would meet at the Invercargill City Council chambers at noon. T . “Sir Willoughby Norrie and Lady Norrie, the Prime Minister (Mr Holland) and Mrs Holland. Cabinet Ministers and their wives, will visit tne industrial and commercial exhibition and afterwards will tour the city,” said Mr Holyoake. “In the evening, the official party will attend a civic banquet.” , x Mr Holyoake said that a visit to Bluff would be made on March 15. In the afternoon, the official party would attend a reception and ga r «e n party given by the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church at Anderson’s Park, Invercargill.
