Dr. Syngman Rhee To Retire
SEOUL. March 6. Dr. Syngman Rhee announced this afternoon that he would not stand ' for a third term as President of the I South Korean Republic. I In a message to the national convention of the Liberal Party, which ' nominated him for the Presidency. Dr. I Rhee stated: “I have passed 80 yeari of age and I believe it is better to I retire. Although my health is still : good I think it is better to make wav for a younger and stronger leader.” I Dr. Rhee will be 81 years old on March 26.
