(New Zealand Press Association) HAWERA, March 4. The second day of the Egmont Racing Club’s summer meeting was held at Hawera yesterday, before a big crowd. The totalisator handled £51,236 10s, compared with £45,972 on the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £98,672 10s, an increase of £12,067 10s. The winning double.
