N.Z. Help For Migrant Resettlement

(Special Correspondent N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, March 1. The New Zealand Government has agreed to contribute £lO.OOO in response to an appeal by the International Committee for European Migration to its 25 members for the resettlement of migrants in 1956. This was stated in Geneva by Mr J. V. Brennan, chief migration officer at New Zealand House, who led the Dominion delegation at the committee meeting. It will be used for the resettlement of European refugees now in China. New Zealand gave a similar amount last year.
