VISIT OF MR DAG HAMMARSKJOLD
ARRIVAL AT AUCKLAND THIS WEEK (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. February 15. The New Zealand itinerary for the Secretary-General of the United Nations (Mr Dag Hammarskjold) was announced this afternoon. Accompanied by Mr William M. Ranallo, of tne United Nations Secretariat, Mr Hugh Williams, director of the United Nations Information Office at Sydney, and Mr Ivan Smith, director of the United Nations Information SerVl ce in London. Mr Hammarskjold *' l “ arrive by air at Auckland from Australia next Friday morning. The Minister of External Affairs ’Mr T. L. Macdonald), the Secretary o' External Affairs (Mr A. D. McIntosh). and Sir Leslie Munro. New Zealand's permanent representative the United Nations, will meet him at th® airport. .Mr Hammarskjold will attend a civic reception in the Auckland Town Hall on Friday morning, and will Rotorua, the National Park area. Wairakei, and Taupo before motoring to Wellington on Sunday night. . He will hold a press conference in Wellington on Monday morning, and after a series of official calls will attend a meeting of the Cabinet. He will be accorded a State luncheon, and there will also be a Government reception at Parliament House. He *lll leave Wellington by air next morning for Auckland and Fiji.
