Speaker To French Assembly

(Rec. 8 p.m.) PARIS, Jan. 24. Mr Andre le Troqueg. a Socialist, was tonight elected President (Speaker) of the new French National Assembly. An agreement came in the third ballot, when, with Communist support, he polled 280 votes against the 205 cast for the outgoing President, Mr Pierre Schneitern (Popular Republican).
