NATIONAL JUDO CONFERENCE

CANTERBURY DELEGATION ANNOUNCED A delegation from the Canterbury Amateur Judo Club will travel to Wellington on February 17 to take part in a conference with the object of forming a national body to control judo in New Zealand. Representatives from clubs all over New Zealand will attend the conference. If a national body is formed it will endeavour to take a place in the International Judo Federation, a world-wide judo organisation. The Canterbury delegation will comprise Messrs J. Fielding (president), J. L. Ewart (secretary), and S. Tump, a First Dan and senior instructor of the Canterbury club. They will be accompanied by several members of the club and committee.
