RACING
ASHHURST CLUB “The Press” Special Service f WELLINGTON, January 22. The Ashhurst Racing Club will , hold its annual race meeting at Awapuni tomorrow. The double will be on the Ashhurst Cup and the Pohangina Handicap. Several horses are engaged at -Ashhurst as well as at Trentham. Dahlia and Super Corn have been withdrawn from their Ashhurst engagements. Dahlia will race at Trentham, but--Super Corn will not race tomorrow.
.. Matchlock will race at Trentham, but Gold Ace, which is an acceptor at both meetings, is unlikely to fulfil either engagement. Dearwood has been scratched in the Komako Handicap and Foxborough has been withdrawn from the Siberia Handicap.
The outlook is for fair weather and a fast track.
