AMATEUR CLUBS’ TITLES

The three Christchurch amateur cycling clubs held the finals of their 4000-metre individual pursuit titles at English Park on Saturday morning. The riders in the first round had to ride against time Those with the fastest times went on to contest the next rounds, in which one rider rides against another starting from opposite sides of the track. Should any rider be lapped in the first round he is out of the contest, but the other rider must go on to establish a time. The results were:— Christchurch Club.—M. Boers beat R. Treloar.
