MINOR FIRES
An old model car caught fire in Ferry road at 11 a.m. on Saturday when petrol leaked on to the generator. The car. which is owned by Robert John, was slightly damaged. A unit from Woolston attended.
An oven fire in a house at 41 Horner street, occupied by Mrs Olive Graham, was extinguished before any damage was done. The call was received at 12.35 p.m., and a unit from St. Albans attended. Units from the central and St.
Albans stations answered a call to a fire in a house at 211 Clyde road, occupied by Mr A. H. Lee, at 3.31 p.m. The fire was caused by an electric motor driving a water pump overheating. There was no damage. A rubbish fire on a property at 42 Shaw street. New Brighton, was attended by units from the New Brighton volunteer and central stations at 12.34 a.m. yesterday. No damage wat done.
At 7.3 p.m. yesterday units from the New Brighton and central stations attended a scrub fire on the foreshore of Marine parade. New Brighton. The fire was quickly put out
